I wrote an article about being a studio pack rat, why its bad and how I'm taking care of my disease.

Here is the link:

Let me know if you agree or not with what I have to say

So how about you all? What gear do you have around the studio that you don't hardly use lately and why?

I believe that the selection of gear and tools is all part of the process and the decisions you make can affect your chances of succss in the path to publishing your CD.

Have you all fine tuned your studio to be inline with your objectives?

I have a few electronic devices from the old days. I didn't use them since a very long
time. I bought, a couple of years ago, microphones with a preamp and tried to record
with them but didn't like it. I get satisfaction when I record short videos with my small
Sony camera!

Of course, neeless to say that my goal is not to become pro or to record CDs. Smiley

I agree with the simplification path... In the end, you just need the sound and expressivity isn't it? It's getting easier to get both of these from electronic instruments, saving a lot of time and efforts. That is a real progress, especially if it helps to further your creativity and musical skills.
